Perms & Texturizing
Modern perms have very little in common with what the word brings to mind. Today the range runs from a soft beach wave to a defined, bouncy curl, and the formulas are dramatically gentler than they were twenty years ago.
Texturizing is the other half of this service, and it is about movement rather than curl. If your hair is heavy, flat, or falls without any shape, strategic texture gives it somewhere to go.

Aftercare & maintenance
What you do at home decides how long the result lasts. This is the short version, and ViAna will walk you through it in person.
- Do not wash your hair for 48 hours after the service.
- Use a curl cream or mousse rather than heavy oils.
- Scrunch dry or diffuse. Rough towel drying causes frizz.
- Expect the curl to relax slightly over the first two weeks. That is normal.
- Perms typically hold three to six months depending on your hair and length.
Common questions
Not unless you specifically want that. Rod size and technique control everything, and most clients today choose a loose beach wave or a soft, natural looking curl. You will see and agree on the curl size before anything begins.
Often yes, but the condition of the hair matters more than the color itself. Heavily lightened hair may not be a safe candidate. A strand test settles it before committing to the full service.
Generally three to six months. It grows out gradually rather than dropping all at once, so there is no harsh line as it relaxes.
