Aftercare & maintenance
What you do at home decides how long the result lasts. This is the short version, and ViAna will walk you through it in person.
- Wait 48 to 72 hours before your first wash so the cuticle can fully close.
- Switch to a color safe, sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.
- Wash in cooler water. Hot water opens the cuticle and strips tone fast.
- Book a gloss or toner refresh around week six to keep the tone true.
- Use UV protection in summer. The southern Utah sun fades color quickly.
Common questions
Usually yes, but be upfront about it at booking. Box dye deposits unpredictable metallic salts that can react with professional lightener, so ViAna may run a strand test first and build a plan around it rather than guessing.
Most all over color holds its tone for six to eight weeks, though reds and fashion shades fade faster. Regrowth is typically visible around the four to six week mark depending on how fast your hair grows.
Yes, and they are booked differently. Corrections need a dedicated consultation first so the time, cost, and realistic number of sessions can be quoted accurately before anything is started.
